Adventure After School for 9-12 Year Olds
After School Forest Fridays at Fiddleheads
Calling all 9-12 year olds to take a break from screen time and get outside with some real life tools and adventure maps. Fiddleheads is offering a new after school program, called The Outsiders, in spring of 2024. It will be a 6 week session of Fridays from 3:00-5:00pm, and one Saturday from 10:00-1:00pm, running from March 29th through May 11th. Session activities will include team building games and activities, tracking, foraging, shelter building, fire starting, carving, rope making and shelter building. Programming will take place mostly outdoors, appropriate clothing will be necessary.
Scholarships are available.
Cost for the full program will be $360 per child. Scholarships are available. All materials and tools needed will be provided by Fiddleheads. Children will need to come with their own outdoor clothing and gear. If there are barriers to obtaining appropriate clothing and gear please reach out.
How to Join the Outsiders
Programming will take place at Fiddleheads, 106 Palmer Place, Manchester Center, VT or at the adjacent Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park.

May 11th (Note that this is a Saturday. This session will be from 10:00 am -1:00 pm and will include a skills demo and showcase. All families are invited to attend)
Typical schedule:
3:00-3:30 drop-off, snacks, gear up
3:30-4:45 activity and lesson
4:45-5:00 cleanup, gear storage and pickup
